Region 2 Spring Encounter 80 leaders representing the multicultural Cursillo Movements from across Region 2 gathered at the Pope John Paul II Retreat Center in Vineland, New Jersey, April 27 - 29, 2012. For the first time in history, there were three language tracks for the weekend. We have always had Spanish and English. But this time we added a Vietnamese track. The theme of the weekend was, "Simplicity of the Gift," referring to the simple nature of the Charism of Cursillo as given to the Church by the Holy Spirit through the founder. There were three presentations: (1) My Spiritual Journey by Eduardo Bonnin; (2) The Authentic Cursillo Weekend; and (3) Are We Living and Authentic Fourth Day?" Liturgies, prayers, Ultreya and a grand fiesta made for a weekend of piety, study, action and enjoyment in friendship. Click here to visit the Photo Album to see some of the scenes from this historic encounter.

Website Launched
This website was created to better serve the Cursillo Movements in DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA (eastern half) and VA. It was authorized by the Region 2 Cursillo Secretariat which pays the direct costs of operating the site. Thanks to a generous in-kind donation of his time and talent, Tom Berry of WoWitude.com volunteered to set up and organize the website. We are also thankful to Betty Berry, School of Leaders Director for the Diocese of Harrisburg, who is our volunteer webmaster. Please help us to keep this website current. If you have changes, please send an email with those changes to: webmaster@cursilloregion2.org .
